I very deeply agree with this. The way I see it is if 1 person appreciates it and enjoys anything I write, well, that’s a success because that means it has helped them escape if only for a bit.
Writing is amazing! That being said, having someone with whom to share the writing with is a feeling on its own level! ^_^
Maja, this is my motto for blogging too. If my words inspire, comfort or help even one person to not feel alone in the world then facing my fear of sharing has been worth it. I love this post.
This is quite inspiring indeed. Because, we always crave for more comments and likes and appreciation and forget that even if one person is able to relate to what we have written, it’s a job well done. Thanks for this reiteration !
Yes! My greatest hope is that my words will find the eyes and heart(s) that recognize them and invite them in. Even if I never know about it, the mere thought that it might have happened delights and inspires me.
This is something I struggle with, but learning more and more. As you say, it’s worth it even if your work touches just one person. Sometimes the person it touches and helps is you.
Not everyone has to get your writing… lovely

Exactly, that’s what I’m telling people all the time. If you help only one person it is success and you are a good writer 🙂 Thanks for lovely comment!

Heh, only the Creator God ‘gets’ me most times. And when I blog, honestly I don’t expect anyone to respond, but when they do it’s nice.

That’s the whole purpose of sharing our work. Couldn’t agree more 🙂

So true Maja, and beautifully worded. If our writing can touch one person then it has been worth all the effort.

I completely agree, the first thing is that we accept ourselves and our writing.
